“Kerry is not just a photographer; shes a friend with a camera.”
— Danielle H.
Imagine portraits made just for you—because you deserve to feel beautiful.
As your photographer, I’m committed to capturing your inherent beauty with love and grace, creating timeless and emotive portraits that resonate.
My Story
I was first drawn to photography through the world of fashion — the drama, the styling, the way a single image could feel both strong and delicate. But over time, what stayed with me wasn’t the fashion itself — it was the women in front of the lens. Now, my work is less about spectacle and more about truth: creating space for women to feel celebrated exactly as they are.
This isn’t about transformation; it’s about reflection. I create fashion-inspired portraits for women who are ready to step in front of the camera not only for milestones, but to remember what it feels like to take up space. My goal is to create a place for you to breathe — to show up comfortably, confidently, and without pretense. I’ll guide you every step of the way, helping you feel at ease in your body and in front of the lens.
I started photographing people on film when I was twelve, eventually earning my BFA in photography where I studied fine art and conceptual storytelling. What I offer now is a blend of that background — a discerning, editorial eye with a romantic sensibility and a focus on honest, elegant imagery. Today, I work as an editorial women’s portrait photographer based in Clarksville, TN, offering on-location sessions throughout Middle Tennessee, including Fort Campbell and Nashville.
If you're searching for a photographer to document senior portraits, maternity pictures, or a little self-love, I’d be honored to work with you.
My Style
My photography style is a blend of gentle elegance, romantic charm, and effortless simplicity. I believe in creating images that stand the test of time, destined to be cherished heirlooms rather than fleeting digital snapshots buried in your social media feeds.
If you're seeking images that are beautiful and timeless, and if you value a laid-back and enjoyable portrait experience, then you've come to the right place. I am dedicated to providing you with stunning portraits that capture who you are in a relaxed and comfortable setting.
Your natural beauty is what makes you unique, and I celebrate that in every photograph I take. I believe in embracing yourself as you are, without excessive editing or alterations. Your images will reflect the authentic you, with genuine emotions and your unique beauty shining through.
To be cliché, photography was my first love.
The first camera I ever picked up was my dad’s 1970s 35mm when I was in middle school. I used my best friends and family as models and shot them on film...a lot. The only place I really wanted to be was out in the woods by my house taking pictures of my friends or in the darkroom at school learning how to process and print my film. Some of that work won some awards and landed in the Corcoran as part of an exhibit.
I attended the top-ranked Fine Art program at Virginia Commonwealth University and graduated with a BFA in photography & film. After graduating, I worked as an assistant photographer and studio manager to established portrait and wedding photographers around D.C. and Virginia, and as a designer in a Richmond, VA photographic printing lab.
With a foundation in film, my approach is discernible, thoughtful, and attentive; I won’t just be clicking away with the hope of catching something. With formal training in fine art photography, I consider each frame it’s own piece and work toward honest and heartfelt reflections in your images.
I am a military spouse and five years ago we moved to Clarksville from North Carolina, where I photographed many wonderful clients, and developed websites and branding for several local businesses.
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

I absolutely loved working with Kerry! She made me feel comfortable and confident in our session. The pictures turned out beautifully!
— Michelle D.
My name is Harry.
I’m Kerry’s husband.
She asked me to write her bio, but I thought I’d just write about her. I met Kerry when she was in art school and I saw her thesis show at an old bank in downtown Richmond, VA. As I got to know her it was mostly through the photos that she handed me to look at, meeting those people in real life, and trying to feel what those photos meant to her. I have always been intrigued by Kerry’s gentle aesthetic and attention to what a picture says. While we dated she worked for other people but wasn’t comfortable with their vision; she’s always wanted to be creative on her own terms. Kerry has taken photos of many people, and more than anything, cultivated a beautiful and meaningful human experience through her creativity.
