I think most of us are guilty of putting off family photos.

Did you notice the image up there? That was taken 3 years ago. I’ve had another kid since then lol. I should take my own advice, but honestly, there’s always something going on. I tell myself we’ll wait until life settles down a bit but then somehow another year has flown by.

I get it because I’m in the same boat. I’m a mom of three and my husband is in the military. We know a lot about deployments, moving, training cycles… We also know how easy it is to assume we’ll remember the little things because they feel so familiar while we're living them.

That’s a big part of why I photograph families. I want to make it easier for you to be in the photographs with your kids without turning your session into a production. After 26 years behind a camera and having kids of my own, I am not unfamiliar with chaos and big feelings. I can find good light almost anywhere and give you enough direction to feel comfortable without taking over the whole experience.

Because someday, when the house is quieter and your kids have grown, having these photographs will matter a whole lot more than finding the perfect time to take them.
