My work blends documentary honesty with an editorial eye to create storytelling images that feel timeless while rooted in the real texture of your life right now.
As someone well acquainted with the unpredictable rhythm of military life, I understand chaos and tenderness and the way both can live in the same moment. That experience is woven into how I photograph families. Nothing has to be perfect. You don’t have to tidy the edges of your life. You just have to show up as you are.
I started photographing people on film when I was 12, eventually earning my BFA in photography. What guides me now comes from years of paying attention — to the way light can shape a story, to connection, to the quiet in-between moments that say more than anything posed ever could.
Twenty-five years behind the lens have shaped a style that blends gentle elegance with honest, emotional storytelling. My work has been published and exhibited, including at the Corcoran Gallery in D.C., but the heart of what I do is simple: documenting real families and the quiet magic of ordinary moments that only belong to them.
